Chi Linh still has 11 poor ethnic minority households

In 2023, Chi Linh City will have 524 poor households, accounting for 0.87% of the total number of households in the city, down 0.13% compared to 2022, and 660 near-poor households, accounting for 1.1%, down 0.11%.

This is the result of the review and identification of poor and near-poor households in 2023 approved by the People's Committee of Chi Linh City on December 12.

Of the total 524 poor households in the city in 2023, there are 11 poor ethnic minority households, accounting for about 2% of the total number of poor households in the city, including 7 poor households of the San Diu ethnic group; 2 poor households are Chinese, 1 Tho household and 1 Mong household. Poor ethnic minority households are concentrated in Hoang Hoa Tham and Bac An communes and Hoang Tan, Hoang Tien, Ben Tam wards... In addition, in 2023, Chi Linh City still has 20 near-poor ethnic minority households, mainly San Diu and Chinese people.

To reduce poverty in rural areas, especially ethnic minority households, Chi Linh City actively supports the construction of production models associated with the development of hill and forest economy such as bamboo planting models for shoots and leaves; beekeeping; fruit tree planting. Poor ethnic minority households are also supported with electricity bills, health insurance, health care services, etc.
