From March 1, the new apparatus of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies officially came into operation. The organizational structure of the Government includes 14 ministries and 3 ministerial-level agencies, of which 6 new ministries were established through the merger and restructuring of ministries and branches.

Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religionswas established on the basis of the Ethnic Committee and received the functions, tasks, and organization of the state management apparatus on religion from the Ministry of Home Affairs; at the same time, supplemented and perfected the functions and tasks of state management on ethnicity.

The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions has its headquarters at 349 Doi Can Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. This was also the headquarters of the Ethnic Minorities Committee before the reorganization.

The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions is headed by Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung. The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions has 13 focal points, 3 focal points less than before; has 320 civil servant positions and 765 public employee positions.

Ministry of Agriculture and Environmentwas established on the basis of merging the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. At the same time, the ministry received additional poverty reduction tasks from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is headquartered at 10 Ton That Thuyet, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi. The Ministry has 30 units, including 26 administrative units assisting the Minister in performing the state management function. The Minister of Agriculture and Environment is Mr. Do Duc Duy. The Ministry has 10 Deputy Ministers including Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Ms. Phung Duc Tien, Tran Thanh Nam, Nguyen Quoc Tri, Hoang Trung, Vo Van Hung, Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, Tran Quy Kien, Le Cong Thanh, and Le Minh Ngan.

The previous nameplate "Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment" has been changed to "Ministry of Agriculture and Environment".

Home Officewas established on the basis of merging the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. After the merger, the ministry reduced 13 units compared to the original (more than 37%), from 35 to 22 units. The Ministry of Home Affairs is headed by Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra as Minister and has 7 Deputy Ministers. The total number of staff after the merger of the Ministry of Home Affairs includes more than 3,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, including more than 800 civil servants.

The headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs is located at 8 Ton That Thuyet, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

Ministry of Science and Technologyestablished on the basis of merging the Ministry of Science and Technology with the Ministry of Information and Communications, basically inheriting the functions and tasks of the two ministries. Particularly, the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the press and publishing management of the Ministry of Information and Communications were transferred to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Ministry of Science and Technology is headquartered at 113 Tran Duy Hung Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. On February 18, the National Assembly approved the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications, as Minister of Science and Technology.

Ministry of Financemerged with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, merged with Vietnam Social Security. Along with that, some functions and tasks of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises and the National Financial Supervision were also transferred to the Ministry of Finance. The new agency kept the name of the Ministry of Finance.

The Ministry of Finance is headquartered at 28 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. The Ministry of Finance has Minister Nguyen Van Thang and 9 Deputy Ministers including Mr. Nguyen Duc Chi, Cao Anh Tuan, Le Tan Can, Bui Van Khang, Nguyen Duc Tam, Do Thanh Trung, Ho Sy Hung, Tran Quoc Phuong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc.

Ministry of ConstructionAfter the merger between the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport - is a Government agency, performing the function of state management of construction planning, architecture; construction investment activities; urban development; technical infrastructure; housing; real estate market; construction materials; road, railway, inland waterway, maritime, civil aviation transport nationwide; state management of public services in the fields under the management of the Ministry according to the provisions of law.

After the merger, the Ministry of Construction moved its headquarters to 80 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi. This was the headquarters of the Ministry of Transport before the merger of the two ministries. The Ministry of Construction's headquarters at 37 Le Dai Hanh, Hanoi was converted into the Ministry of Construction's citizen reception area. The Ministry of Construction's leadership includes Minister Tran Hong Minh and 8 Deputy Ministers: Nguyen Van Sinh, Bui Xuan Dung, Pham Minh Ha, Nguyen Viet Hung, Nguyen Tuong Van, Nguyen Xuan Sang, Nguyen Danh Huy and Le Anh Tuan.
