In the near future, the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace will hold a ceremony to announce the decision to recognize three cars that once served him as National Treasures. These are original artifacts that accompanied President Ho Chi Minh from 1954 to 1969.
The three cars include: Zit (ZIS), Pobeda and Peugeot 404.
On December 31, 2024, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1712/QD-TTg recognizing these artifacts as National Treasures (batch 13).
This is the first time in 55 years that the Relic Site has artifacts honored to be recognized at this level, demonstrating the great historical and cultural value of the artifacts associated with the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.
The second car is the Pobeda. The total number of kilometers the car has traveled is 39,436 km. Of the 3 cars, the Pobeda is the one Uncle Ho used most often. The car is 4m45 long, 1m44 wide, 1m64 high, weighs 1,900kg, and has the registration number HN 158.
Finally, the Peugeot 404, registration number HNC 232, has run 16,575km. The car is 4m25 long, 1m40 wide, 1m40 high, and weighs 2,300kg. This is the car that Uncle Ho received from an overseas Vietnamese living in New Caledonia and Vanuatu (formerly known as the archipelagos in Oceania) in 1964.
