Youth Union officials help many young people learn a trade

Not only actively developing the economy, Mr. Phan Tung, owner of Phan Anh phone store on Huu Nghi street, Tran Hung Dao residential area, Sao Do ward (Chi Linh) also actively participates in union activities and helps many young people learn a trade.

Mr. Tung was born in 1992, from Bac Ninh province. He has been in Chi Linh since he was a student at Sao Do University (formerly Sao Do Industrial College). After graduating from high school, he took the entrance exam to the school's intermediate level, then continued his studies to college and university. Due to his family's financial difficulties, while studying, Mr. Tung worked a few extra jobs to support himself and his studies. Once, Mr. Tung bought a phone, repaired it, decorated it, and then sold it for a small profit. Seeing that the work did not take much time and was not difficult, he asked his father to lend him 10 million VND as start-up capital. Thanks to his diligence, hard work, and ability to repair broken parts and decorate them beautifully, the old phones Mr. Tung sold were trusted by customers.

After graduating from Sao Do University, Mr. Tung decided to stay in Chi Linh to open a mobile phone store. At first, due to lack of capital, he opened a small store in an alley. Mr. Tung always puts reputation first, trying to bring customers products with guaranteed quality. Therefore, more and more customers come to the store. With favorable business, Mr. Tung moved the store to a new location that is more convenient for transactions with customers. Up to now, Mr. Tung has 2 stores that do business, repair and sell phone accessories, after deducting expenses, the profit is more than 100 million VND per year. Currently, the store creates jobs for nearly 10 workers with an income of 5-7 million VND/person/month.

Coming from a difficult situation, Mr. Tung always sympathizes and shares with other young people and students. In the past 5 years, Mr. Tung has taught free vocational training to dozens of students and union members in need. During the days when they don't have to go to school, the students come to the store to learn how to repair phones. Through that, many of them have learned the trade and opened their own phone stores.

Mr. Dong Minh Nam in Bang village, An Ha commune, Lang Giang district (Bac Giang) said: "I used to study at Sao Do University, then went to work in my major. However, the job was not as expected, so I went back to Mr. Tung's shop to learn phone repair. After that, I returned to Bac Giang to open a shop for 2 years now and business has been quite favorable."

Not only is he good at business, Mr. Tung also actively participates in the activities of the Youth Union. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Sao Do Ward Youth Union. Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuc, Secretary of the Sao Do Ward Youth Union, said: "Mr. Tung is very active and exemplary in implementing movements. We are very confident in whatever task he is assigned to Mr. Tung because he is always creative and highly responsible. In addition, he also actively supports many union members and young people to learn the profession of phone repair."

With what he has done, Mr. Tung is a shining example for young people to follow.
