Previously, Tet and summer were two times when blood donations were often scarce. Now, thanks to the long-running Red Journey blood donation program, the shortage has been resolved. After Tet, the Red Spring Blood Donation Festival takes place to help replenish the blood supply for treatment.

This year's Red Sunday program will take place from November 2023 to the end of March 2024 in 45 provinces, cities, businesses, and armed forces. It is estimated that more than 100,000 people will attend, with 45,000-50,000 units of blood donated. The main festival will be held at the University of Technology on the morning of December 24.
