On January 31, the Military Service Council of Cam Giang district organized a meeting and exchange with nearly 240 young men preparing to join the army in the district.

At the meeting, the young people had a chance to talk with representatives of the District Veterans Association, former soldiers, outstanding discharged young people... On this occasion, Cam Giang district gave gifts to the young people leaving for military service.
This year, the district assigned 239 young men to 6 military units.
District leaders give gifts to young people preparing to join the army
Previously, out of 500 young men who participated in the district-level preliminary examination, 270 were healthy enough to join the army, with 57 people achieving type I health, 48 people achieving type II and 165 people achieving type III. There was 1 young man who was a party member. 50 young men had university and college degrees, 148 people graduated from high school, and the rest graduated from junior high school.
District Youth Union representative presented Youth Union badges and certificates of merit to outstanding union members who took the lead in fulfilling military service.
In recent times, the Military Service Council of the district, communes and towns have actively reviewed, grasped the source and organized the preliminary selection and medical examination strictly in accordance with regulations. The registration of military service for male citizens aged 17 years old is identified as an important step to manage the source of citizens ready to join the army. As a result, 5,041 male citizens have been registered and managed, of which 17% are eligible for military service.
