On the afternoon of May 24, the authorities searched the office of Mr. Doan Tien Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town. Mr. Dung was also prosecuted and temporarily detained due to many violations.
Previously, in January 2024, the Standing Committee of Cua Lo Town Party Committee held an extraordinary meeting to listen to the Town People's Committee report on the results of implementing "results of reviewing and overcoming land acquisition and resettlement arrangements in the town".
The Standing Committee of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee requested the Town People's Committee and related individuals to set an example and encourage their relatives to comply with the policy of the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee in returning land or paying money in accordance with regulations. At the same time, it pointed out the violations of the relevant collectives and individuals and proposed ways to handle responsibilities in accordance with the Party's regulations and the State's laws.
On May 16, Mr. Doan Tien Dung authorized the operation of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town to Mr. Nguyen Quang Tieu, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the town. The reason for the authorization was stated to be due to work requirements, the authorization period is from May 16, 2024 until the notice of the end of authorization.
It is known that before holding the position of Chairman of Cua Lo Town People's Committee, Mr. Doan Tien Dung was in charge of the Finance Department and Vice Chairman of Cua Lo Town People's Committee.
On February 11, 2014, at the 7th session, the People's Council of Cua Lo town, term IV, elected Mr. Doan Tien Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the town, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town for the 2011 - 2016 term.
