On the afternoon of July 3, Mr. Nguyen Hue, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Binh province confirmed that four officers of this department were caught red-handed gambling by the police.

Accordingly, the incident occurred on June 26. At that time, a group of officials from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Binh province were gambling at the HL restaurant on Huu Nghi street (Dong Hoi city) when they were caught red-handed by the Dong Hoi city police force.

There was cash on the gambling table at the time of arrest, but the amount has not been disclosed. All four were detained afterwards.

Of the four people arrested, the police have only publicly identified Mr. Nguyen Thanh Mai, who works in the surveying, mapping and remote sensing department. The identities of the remaining three people are currently unknown. However, all four officers were later released and are now back to work.
