Arrested 2 subjects who tricked and trafficked people to Cambodia with the trick of "easy work, high salary"

On August 12, the Criminal Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police, said that the unit had just coordinated with the Immigration Management Department to investigate and arrest 2 subjects who had tricked and sold 4 people to Cambodia to work to investigate the act of "Human trafficking".

The two arrested subjects are Tran Van Tung (32 years old) and Nguyen Van Vinh (37 years old), both residing in Ea Dar commune, Ea Kar district, Dak Lak province.

Previously, on July 24, the Criminal Police Department coordinated with the Immigration Management Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police, to receive a number of Vietnamese illegal workers in Cambodia who were returned by the Royal Cambodian Police.

During the investigation, Dak Lak Provincial Police identified 4 victims who were tricked by Tung and Vinh into being sold to Cambodia to do "easy work with high salaries".

According to the initial investigation results, in early 2024, Tung and Vinh went to Cambodia to work at companies owned by Chinese people. Their daily job was to use social networks to scam Vietnamese people.

During the working process, Tung and Vinh were asked by the company owner to find Vietnamese people to send to Cambodia to work. The company will pay for travel expenses and other expenses in the amount of 300 USD. If the workers sign a 6-month work contract after arriving in Cambodia and meet the targets, the company will pay an additional referral fee of 500 USD.

In addition, both also receive 5% of the total income that the victims earn.

Despite knowing that the working conditions were very harsh, and that they were being put under house arrest and beaten when they did not meet the requirements of the fraudulent job set by the Chinese, these two subjects still contacted Vietnam with the enticement of "easy work with high salary" to bring the 4 victims to Cambodia.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police is expanding the investigation and consolidating the case file to handle Tran Van Tung and Nguyen Van Vinh for the act of "Human trafficking".
