Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision 1176/QD-TTg dated October 12, 2023 appointing Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang, Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Director of the Department of General Economics, Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang was born in 1976 in Hanoi, graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and a Master's degree in International Relations in the UK.

New Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang began her diplomatic career in 2000 and has held many positions related to the international integration process, multilateral diplomacy, and economic diplomacy serving national development.

Ms. Hang has held the following positions: Deputy Director, Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Minister Counselor, Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore; Deputy Director, APEC 2017 National Secretariat; Acting Director, then Director, Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, concurrently Director of the Department of General Economics, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Currently, Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang is a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.
