On the first day of opening, the Vietnam Military History Museum (Thang Long Avenue, Hanoi) attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and learn about history.

The highlight in front of the museum is the 45-meter-high Victory Tower, symbolizing the year 1945 when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The top of the tower is cut at a 60-degree angle, creating a five-pointed star on top.

Standing out in the main hall of the museum is the MiG-21 with serial number 4324, printed on its shell with 14 red stars, representing the destruction of 14 enemy aircraft.

Two MIG-21 aircraft with serial numbers 4324 and 5121, T54B tank with serial number 843 and the map of Determination to Fight in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, are four national treasures, currently on display and preserved at the museum.

Veteran Nguyen Tran Hao (Dan Phuong, Hanoi) said: "My friends and I came here early in the morning to have more time to visit and review history. We were very impressed with the scale and artifacts displayed at the museum. This is our pride as well as a message to the younger generation about the determination to build and protect the Fatherland."

The inauguration of the Vietnam Military History Museum is an important event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
