According to the Hai Duong Labor Federation, by August 29, 97 grassroots unions had organized "Union Meals" with the participation of about 55,000 workers, reaching 100% of the plan.
At the "Union Meal", units and businesses have improved the quality of meals with a value of 40,000-200,000 VND/meal, 2-10 times higher than the usual meal. The meal has created a joyful, united and sharing atmosphere.
On this occasion, some units also organized lucky draws, birthday greetings for union members; gave gifts to union members' children with good academic achievements...
Previously, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Federation of Labor launched grassroots unions to organize "Union Meals" to show gratitude to workers. The organization period was from August 1 to 31. To date, 97 grassroots unions have organized "Union Meals" with the participation of about 55,000 union members, reaching 100% of the plan.
"Union meal" is an activity that demonstrates the role and responsibility of the union organization and employers in caring for the lives of workers.
