According to NASA, dangerous asteroids fly past Earth every day, including a giant 457m wide asteroid that flew close to Earth on February 21.
Among them, the most terrifying is a 223m wide asteroid that will come very close to Earth.
NASA also shared details about these five asteroids:
On February 25, a 32-meter-wide asteroid called 2023 CG1 came within 5.8 million kilometers of Earth. The asteroid was traveling at a speed of 23,328 kilometers per hour. Data on these asteroids came from NASA's Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS).
On February 26, an 18-meter-wide asteroid called 2023 DA will make a close approach to Earth. The asteroid is expected to fly by at a distance of just 1 million kilometers from our planet. The asteroid is traveling at a dizzying speed of 21,132 kilometers per hour.
On February 27, a giant asteroid measuring 143 meters wide will approach Earth. NASA data revealed that the asteroid will come within 4.8 million kilometers of our planet. It is moving at a speed of 55,944 km/h.
On February 28, a 145-meter-wide asteroid called 2006 BE55 will be hurtling toward Earth. The asteroid will come within 3.5 million kilometers of Earth. The asteroid is traveling at a speed of 47,936 kilometers per hour.
On March 3, a giant 223m-long asteroid called 2007 ED125 will approach Earth. It will come within 4.4 million km of Earth. The asteroid is moving at a speed of 47,032 km/h.
