From April 2024, Vinh Hong and Hung Thang communes (Binh Giang, Hai Duong) will begin classifying, collecting and treating household waste.

Currently, Hung Thang commune generates about 3.5 tons of domestic waste every day. The commune has 4 domestic waste landfills, of which 2 landfills in Hoa Che village and Nhan Kiet village have been funded by the Provincial People's Committee since 2012. Tuan village landfill is part of the expanded Phuc Dien industrial park planning, the remaining landfills have an occupancy rate of about 75-80%.
The amount of domestic waste in Vinh Hong commune is about 6.4 tons/day. The commune has 9 domestic waste landfills, including 1 landfill in Me Vang village which has been funded by the Provincial People's Committee since 2012. Do Xa village landfill is part of the planning of Phuc Dien industrial park, the remaining landfills have an occupancy rate of 75-80%.
