14 hospitalized due to firecrackers during Tet holiday in Hai Duong

During the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, hospitals in Hai Duong received 14 hospitalizations due to firecrackers, an increase of 2 cases compared to last year's Lunar New Year.

According to the statistical report of the Hai Duong Department of Health on the morning of February 3, during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, medical facilities across the province examined and treated 7,366 patients, equivalent to the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday, while the Lunar New Year holiday was 2 days longer and the days before Tet were marked by severe cold.

Notably, the whole province had 14 hospitalizations due to firecrackers, an increase of 2 cases. There were 109 cases of hospitalization due to traffic accidents, a decrease of 14 cases compared to last Tet.

During the Tet holiday, Hai Duong did not have any food poisoning and did not record any new outbreaks of infectious diseases.

During the 9-day Tet holiday, Hai Duong welcomed 215 newborns, 97 fewer than during the 2024 Tet holiday.
