Topping the list is ChatGPT with 14.6 billion uses between September 2022 and August 2023.

Writterbudy.ai surveyed 3,000 AI tools using SEMrush, a popular SEO software, to determine the most used AI tools this year. Writterbudy.ai's survey found that the 50 most used AI tools recorded more than 24 billion uses, with the majority of users being men.

Coming in second place in the top 10 most used AI tools in 2023 is Character.ai with 3.8 billion uses, followed by Quillbot with 1.1 billion. Midjourney is in fourth place with 500.4 million uses, followed by Hugging Face with 316.6 million. Bard, a data science tool, is in sixth place with 241.6 million uses, while NovelAI recorded 238.7 million uses and is in seventh place. With 203.8 million uses, the AI ​​writing category Capcut is in eighth place. The last two spots are occupied by the visual creation category Janitor AI with 192.4 million uses and Civitai with 77.2 million uses.

Despite the leadership crisis and concerns about the potential negative impact on AI development, ChatGPT remains the most used AI tool. It can perform a wide range of functions from planning activities to writing detailed resumes. Other creative tools like Bar and Quillbot have similar capabilities when it comes to summarizing and rewriting paragraphs, but they are not as well-known as Chat GPT. AI tools are increasingly being used not only for fun but also for profit.
