Sightseeing fee collection at Con Son – Kiep Bac relics to stop in 2017

Assessing the organization of the 2016 Con Son – Kiep Bac Spring Festival, Mr. Luong Van Cau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Board, has required that the cultural, sport, and tourism sector should:
- overcome existing limitations for better and better festivals in the future;
- completely handle the wrong placement of ceremonial money by organizations and individuals as well as the burning of votive papers, solicitation of visitors and sacrifice carrying, paid praying, and sneaky practice of palmistry and physiognomy at Kiep Bac relic;
- soon complete steps to stop the collection of sightseeing fees at Con Son – Kiep Bac relics in 2017; and
- study a proposal to change the spring festival opening day to avoid concurrence with the annual soldier handover ceremony.
The Con Son – Kiep Bac Relic Management Board should urgently work out and submit a plan for such items as a national flagpole, statue systems in two giai vu (rows of roofed houses), an abstinence hall, a preaching hall, monks' housing area, etc. within Con Son relic to the Provincial People's Committee for construction approval.
This year's Con Son – Kiep Bac Spring Festival took place solemnly, attractively, and safely with traditional rituals guaranteed. Propaganda was organized on a large scale with the participation of 15 press agencies. Security and order were ensured, and the safety of assets, landscapes, and antiques at the relics were absolutely protected.
Since early this spring, Con Son – Kiep Bac have lured around 450,000 turns of people coming for sightseeing and worshipping.
