Gia Loc district authorities are processing procedures to request the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to add the Quat Temple Festival (Yet Kieu commune) to the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
The district Culture and Information Division has coordinated with the Cultural Heritage Management Division (Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) and the Yet Kieu commune People's Committee to survey, study, and collect materials about the festival to set up a scientific dossier.
The dossier will consist of materials, heritage records, studies and descriptions of the festival process, a commitment to protect and promote heritage value, etc.
It is expected that the assigned units will study the festival process until the end of September and form documentation and perfect the dossier from October to December.
Quat temple is a place of worship of famous general Yet Kieu and was classified as a national cultural and historical relic in 1988.
