Eastern Land Cultural and Tourism – 2019 Welcoming Festival scheduled for Dec 30, 2018 – Jan 1, 2019

The festival will be held in three days (December 30, 2018 – January 1, 2019 inclusive) with the main stage at Thong Nhat square (Hai Duong city).

The festival is aimed at popularizing the land, people, and tourism potential of the province in general and Hai Duong city in particular and creating a momentum to promote the development of the provincial economy, culture, society, and especially tourism.

To successfully organize the festival, the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board noted that relevant authorities should study and map out a reasonable route for parades combined with street performances, balance time to suitably and efficiently organize activities of the festival with highlights scheduled for December 30 evening, etc.

The Provincial People's Committee was assigned to urgently direct the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and concerned departments, boards, sectors, and unions to prepare sufficient conditions and facilities to hold the festival.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism shall counsel and coordinate with a consultancy to work out scenarios for festival opening and street performances – Hai Duong Carnaval – on December 30 evening and collaborate with the Vietnam Television to telecast live the event.

District People's Committees shall actively join in activities of the festival and contribute to propagandizing the tourism potential of Hai Duong.
