Deserving of the Ly Tu Trong Award

Not only doing well in her professional duties, teacher Vu Thi Thuan, Cam Doai Secondary School (Cam Giang) is also a leader of the Youth Union and the Young Pioneers with many initiatives contributing to improving the quality of Youth Union and the Young Pioneers' work and the school's youth movement.

As the Secretary of the School Youth Union and the Head of the Young Pioneers, Ms. Thuan identified that the work of the Young Pioneers and the Young Pioneers in schools has a very important task, contributing to the political, ideological and cultural education of students. She advised the School Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union to organize extracurricular activities, educate patriotism and life skills for students with many fun, useful and traditional and historical activities. The activities are organized according to monthly themes, especially commemorating major holidays of the year such as the topics of father's work, mother's love, teacher's gratitude, exchanges with veterans, etc.

The enthusiasm of students when participating in activities is the motivation for Ms. Thuan to stick with the work of the Youth Union and the Young Pioneers. Vu Tra My, a 9th grade student at Cam Doai Secondary School, said: “Participating in the activities of the Youth Union and the Young Pioneers makes me very happy and excited. Through that, I understand more about the national traditions, am grateful to the generations of ancestors and grateful to the teachers.”

Always guide students in extracurricular activities

As a music teacher, Ms. Thuan always researches and learns from her colleagues, constantly improves her professional knowledge, innovates methods and applies information technology to teaching. With the lesson "Making percussion instruments with used tools and materials", she has to practice and know how to do it at home first, then instructs students in class on what materials to prepare and how to do it. This is also an initiative that she wrote and submitted to the district-level competition this year. In that initiative, she clearly shows each step and how to make the simplest musical instrument so that students can do it themselves. From 2014 to now, every year Ms. Thuan writes initiatives, each year writing about a topic, finding new content... "Even in the Youth Union movement, I always want the activities of the following year to be different from the previous year, more practical and effective", Ms. Thuan said. On the occasion of March 26 this year, Ms. Thuan advised on organizing a Skills Festival for students, because according to her, in parallel with learning knowledge, students also need to be equipped with skills in traffic participation, survival, teamwork, communication, etc.

With that effort, from 2020 to 2022, she received many certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the District People's Committee, and the Cam Giang District Youth Union for her many achievements in education, Youth Union work and youth movements.

Teacher Vu Thi Thuan organizes many activities for students.

Since joining the school, she has been the Secretary of the Youth Union and the Head of the Youth Union with experience, bringing the school's Youth Union and Youth Union movements up to the level of other schools in the district. In terms of professional teaching, she is a competent teacher, having been awarded the title of excellent teacher at the district level for many years.”

With her achievements and efforts, teacher Vu Thi Thuan is honored to be one of 100 outstanding Youth Union officials nationwide to receive the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2023, and is also the only Youth Union official in Hai Duong province to receive this award. This is a noble award of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to union officials with outstanding achievements in work, labor and study.

With the above typical example, it is a source of positive energy that inspires many Youth Union and Young Pioneer cadres to continue to strive, contribute, and make the work of the Youth Union, Young Pioneer and the Hai Duong children's movement increasingly develop.
