Honoring 79 outstanding works in the Vietnam Creativity Golden Book 2023

Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Head of the Steering Committee for the selection, editing, publication and distribution of the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2023; Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of the Selection Council for the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2023; Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Huu Dung, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the Selection Council for the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity 2023, along with representatives of leaders of a number of ministries, branches, central agencies, socio-political organizations and 79 authors and groups of authors whose works were honored.

A place to gather and shine enthusiasm and passion for scientific research

Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said that, inheriting and promoting the results from the previous 6 announcements, the 2023 Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity announced and introduced 79 typical scientific and technological creative works and solutions nationwide, which have the value of supporting the community, improving life, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring the environment, taking care of people's health and serving social life...

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the coordinating agencies, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha hopes that all levels, sectors, localities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, member organizations, and compatriots at home and abroad will continue to arouse and promote national pride, self-esteem, aspiration to rise up, unite, join forces, contribute strength and intelligence, compete in labor, production, creativity, research, application of science and technology in production and life, creating many products made in Vietnam that are competitive in the domestic and international markets.

Expressing his joy when 79 works were honored in the 2023 Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity in many fields serving socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security that are of interest to the Party, State and the whole society such as: energy, automation, new materials, information technology, electronics, telecommunications, medicine, education and training, agriculture, etc., Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien stated that 2023 is also the year the Selection Council pays due attention to honoring typical works in the fields of social sciences and humanities.

“The authors of the honored works are outstanding groups and individuals, many of whom are professors, associate professors, doctors, business owners, and even students. The enthusiasm and efforts of the scientists and authors are truly admirable,” Mr. Do Van Chien emphasized.

Affirming that the Party and State always pay attention to investing in the development of science, technology and innovation, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that the mettle, intelligence and creativity of Vietnamese people will be promoted more strongly in the coming time so that more creative works and solutions will be selected and published in the Golden Book of Vietnamese Creativity in the following years. Thereby, arousing and strongly promoting the dedication of intellectuals and scientists in research work, solving difficult and new problems arising in practice; joining hands to realize the aspiration of building a prosperous and happy country.

Selected from 199 project profiles, creative solutions

Since 2016, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and ministries, branches, and a number of Front member organizations to select and publish the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity.

The selection aims to honor and encourage organizations and individuals, widely publicize scientific and technological works and creative solutions so that all people, agencies, units, organizations and businesses can know and apply them in all fields, contributing to improving productivity, quality, efficiency and international integration.

In 2023, the Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity has typical scientific and technological creative works and solutions such as: Research, design, and complete installation of 5 models for processing, supplying clean water and direct drinking water (school drinking water) at 5 schools in areas with clean water scarcity in Ha Giang province by author Cao Hong Ky; Household Spirulina farming model and product diversification by Masters Huynh Thi Phuong Thao, Van Huu Tai; Application and development of the "Breast Milk Bank" model to help improve the quality and overall physical health of the generation of Quang Ninh people from birth by Masters Le Thi Thuy Trang, Bui Minh Cuong, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and colleagues; Application of the method of embolization combined with tumor destruction by MWA (microwave thermal ablation) in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma at Bai Chay Hospital by authors Le Tien Hung, Doan Thi Hue and colleagues; Research, design, manufacture and installation, and application of the automatic control system for opening and closing explosion-proof railway turnstiles in underground mines by Master Pham Van Minh and his colleagues...

According to statistics, as of July 30, 2023, the Book Editorial Secretariat has received 199 dossiers of scientific and technological works and creative solutions introduced and proposed by 43 ministries, branches, provinces, cities, etc.; of which 162 works and creative solutions meet the criteria for evaluation. The Selection Council met, discussed thoroughly and voted by secret ballot to select 79 typical works and solutions in various fields. Based on the selection results of the Council, the Steering Committee selected, edited, published and released the 2023 Vietnam Golden Book of Creativity, including 79 works; listed 5 works, collectives, and 27 individuals who won international awards.
