Vietnam is ready to discuss with the US to resolve tariff issues.

On the afternoon of April 24, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answering reporters' questions regarding the announcement on April 21 by the US Department of Commerce that it would impose solar battery tariffs on four Southeast Asian countries, including an average tax rate of 395.9% for Vietnamese enterprises, with four enterprises facing a tax rate of up to 800%, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang affirmed: Vietnam is ready to discuss with US agencies to jointly resolve problems, ensuring that relevant information is considered objectively, fairly, and in accordance with international practices, thereby facilitating the promotion of bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation.

“We are committed to promoting fair and transparent trade activities while protecting the legitimate rights of enterprises operating in Vietnam,” Ms. Pham Thu Hang emphasized.
