The Vietnam U17 team will screen out the best names, aiming for the 2024 Southeast Asian U17 Championship taking place in June in Indonesia.
Vietnam U17 under interim coach Tran Minh Chien started training on April 11 at PVF Youth Football Training Center, Hung Yen.
The team gathers 36 players selected from the qualifying round of the 2024 National U17 Tournament - which ended on April 7.
Currently, U17 Vietnam is mainly practicing passing and ball control techniques with an average training intensity of 2 sessions per day.
The coaching staff also spends time at the end of each day dividing the team into teams for practice matches.
According to plan, after about a week of being stationed at PVF, U17 Vietnam will move to the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, Hanoi from April 18 to enter phase 2 with higher training intensity.
During this process, acting head coach Tran Minh Chien and his assistant team will increase tactical training and match-play to review the overall force.
