Loyalty, steadfastness

Party member Le Xuan Tho on Nguyen Huu Cau street, Tran Hung Dao ward (Hai Duong city) turns 100 years old this year, 80 years of Party membership.

Talking to the old comrade, I was very surprised and admired his intelligence. He was a revolutionary activist, from the end of 1944 to December 1945 he secretly joined the Viet Minh as a traffic liaison, then became the provisional Chairman of Minh Tan commune, now Thuc Khang commune (Binh Giang). In July 1950, he was captured and imprisoned by the French in Con Dao.

Having held many different positions and worked at different units in Binh Giang, Hai Phong City, Hai Duong, before retiring, Mr. Tho was the Director of Hai Duong Town Bank and an officer of Hai Duong Provincial Bank.

Having lived a full century with the country, when we asked him about his feelings about the growth and development of the Party, the country and Hai Duong province, Mr. Tho was happy, his eyes filled with pride and emotion: "I have followed the Party all my life, believed in the Party, and now I am even more proud when the country, including Hai Duong, is increasingly renewed and developed as Uncle Ho always wished."

Mr. Tho remembers and tells us that no one in the provincial delegation who visited his family on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day in 2024 was missing. “Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang said that he will always be grateful for the previous generation, and will constantly be determined to carry out the goals and tasks to inherit, promote, and develop Hai Duong province. That statement makes me believe even more in the future of the province,” Mr. Tho was moved.

According to veteran Party member Le Xuan Tho, one of the things he has been most proud of in recent years is the Party building and rectification work. Our Party and State have dealt with many Party members and officials at all levels who have committed violations, and brought many major cases to light. "I believe and expect that there will be no forbidden zones, no blank zones, no exceptions, no privileges in the work of preventing corruption, negativity, and waste will be implemented more drastically. In preparation for Party congresses at all levels, the Party must resolutely not allow unqualified officials who show signs of degradation in political qualities, ethics, and lifestyle to enter the apparatus. Only then can our country develop sustainably and long-term," Mr. Tho shared.

Mr. Dang Quoc Bao, 92 years old, in Hamlet 1, Thanh Tan Commune (Thanh Ha) participated and was admitted to the Party during the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954. He was the Secretary of the Thanh Xa Commune Party Committee (now Thanh Tan Commune), Mr. Bao is an elderly Party member of Hamlet 1 Party Cell with good health, regularly participating in meetings, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of Party members. He regularly follows the news on TV, books and newspapers about the policy of innovation, reorganizing the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operating effectively and efficiently in the current period.

According to Mr. Bao, continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system is a very urgent requirement from reality. Party members and people expect that the implementation of the above policy will create new vitality for the task of protecting, building and developing the country, creating leverage to break through and complete all the goals set out in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

"I also hope that when implementing the policy of restructuring the apparatus, the Party will pay attention to ensuring the rights of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers," Mr. Bao added.

Belief in Hai Duong development

Party member Dinh Van Long, 99 years old, 71 years of Party membership in Ninh Giang town, has worked for many years in the military medical sector. As a senior and prestigious party member of the locality, he regularly reads newspapers and listens to radio news from Hai Duong.

Mentioning the province's many achievements in recent times, Mr. Long said he was very pleased that the province continued to achieve important and comprehensive results in all fields. The economy maintained high growth and had many improvements. "Compared to before, the infrastructure and facilities now can be said to be excellent. Since the province completed the construction of new rural areas, I have seen people's lives change and improve a lot," Mr. Long shared.

Mr. Long is especially nice.n was impressed by the economic growth rate ranked 6th in the country of the province. According to him, this is a proud result in the context of many difficulties, the strength of the entire political system, businesses, voters and people to successfully carry out the task of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in 2025, thereby creating a new premise to bring Hai Duong province and the whole country into a new era - the era of national development.

Despite their old age and poor health, the minds and feelings of previous generations of party members remain steadfast and loyal to the Party.
