People aged 75 and over without pensions receive retirement benefits.
Vietnamese citizens aged 75 and over who do not have a pension, or people aged 70 to under 75 from poor or near-poor households will receive pension benefits from July 1.
Lower the age of receiving social pension benefits from 80 to 75 years old
The Social Insurance Law 2024, which is about to take effect, has added social benefits and pensions to form a multi-layered social insurance system.
Proposal to subsidize 500,000 VND per month for people aged 75 and over
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has proposed applying a monthly social pension allowance of VND500,000 for the elderly without pensions aged 75 and over.
Proposal to retire early and receive a one-time pension benefit without salary deduction
The Ministry of Home Affairs proposes that people who retire early receive a one-time pension for the early retirement period and enjoy the early retirement policy based on the working time with compulsory social insurance contributions and the number of years of early retirement.
Benefits of receiving social pension benefits from July 1, 2025
The monthly social pension allowance level is prescribed by the Government in accordance with socio-economic development conditions and the capacity of the State budget at each period.
People aged 75 and over without pension are entitled to retirement benefits.
The revised Law on Social Insurance (SI) recently passed by the National Assembly has added a provision that Vietnamese citizens aged 75 and over who do not have a pension or SI benefits will receive social retirement benefits.
People without pensions are entitled to social pension benefits when they retire.
The revised Law on Social Insurance (SI) proposes that people aged 75 and over who do not have a pension or monthly SI benefit will be entitled to social retirement benefits.
