Public debt in 2024 is expected to be more than 4 million billion VND

Public debt by the end of 2024 is expected to be around 36-37% of GDP (equivalent to VND4-4.1 million billion), much lower than the ceiling of 60% set by the National Assembly, according to a Government report.

Vietnamese consumers spend 4.7 million billion VND in 9 months

Total retail sales of goods and consumer services revenue in the first 9 months of 2024 reached a record 4.7 million billion VND, up 8.8% over the same period last year.
People's deposits in banks reached a record high of more than 6,838 trillion VND.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) said that people's deposits in the banking system as of July increased by VND305,672 billion, reaching a record of more than VND6,838 trillion.
