The Chin Ham Historical Relic Site is located in An Tay Ward, about 6 km southwest of Hue city center, at the foot of Thien Thai Mountain. The Chin Ham Relic Site was built by the French colonialists in 1941 as a weapons warehouse. Under the Ngo Dinh Diem and Ngo Dinh Can administrations, this relic site was converted into tiger cages to detain revolutionary soldiers and patriotic movement participants... This used to be a "hell on earth", marking many painful and heroic memories but also containing traces that demonstrate the patriotic spirit and indomitable strength of the people and revolutionary soldiers. Today, this place has become a red address for historical education for generations. In 1993, the Chin Ham Relic Site was recognized by the State as a National Historical and Cultural Relic.
