Special Task Force handles 232 officials and civil servants violating alcohol concentration

Information from the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security also said that the Traffic Police Department's working group handed over to local police to prosecute 8 cases and 9 subjects.

Specifically, 6 working groups of the Ministry of Public Security chaired by the Traffic Police Department have been deployed in 58 localities, coordinating with the Traffic Police Department and District Police in provinces and centrally-run cities to focus on controlling, detecting and handling drivers of vehicles participating in traffic on the road with alcohol, drug and overload concentrations in their breath.

The working group discovered and handed over to local police 6,391 cases of traffic safety violations. Of these, 6,119 were violations of alcohol concentration; 46 cases of non-compliance with alcohol concentration testing requests; 32 cases of drivers with drugs in their bodies; 12 cases of violations of cargo weight and size, and 187 other violations.

In particular, through quick verification, the working group recorded 232 cases of violators being officials and civil servants.

According to the Traffic Police Department, sending violation notices to agencies and units for violators has created a profound change in awareness among the masses and agencies and organizations, from leaders to officers, soldiers, workers and civil servants, thereby forming a sense of compliance with traffic laws, everyone participating in traffic is equal, all violations are handled without any forbidden areas.

In the coming time, the Traffic Police Department will continue to seek direction from the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to continue sending notices of violations by cadres, Party members, and civil servants to agencies and units for strict handling.

At the same time, the Traffic Police Department issued a document directing police units and localities to strengthen patrols, control, and handle drivers with alcohol in their breath, determined to form the habit and culture of "Do not drive after drinking alcohol".
