During his visit to China, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin met with host country President Xi Jinping to discuss bilateral relations.
At the meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping recalled his state visit to Russia last March, during which Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin outlined a detailed plan to promote relations between the two countries in many fields.
Xi Jinping expressed hope that the two countries will continue to tap the potential, prospects and momentum of China-Russia relations to promote cooperation in various fields, as well as enrich the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era.
According to Mr. Xi Jinping, China is willing to cooperate with Russia and members of the Eurasian Economic Union to create conditions for the formation of a larger, more open regional market, ensuring the stability and smoothness of the global industrial and supply chain.
For his part, Russian Prime Minister Mishustin said that Xi Jinping's state visit to Russia in March was a great success, opening a new era for the Russia-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
According to Mr. Mishustin, Russia is ready to cooperate with China to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and at the same time take advantage of regular high-level meetings and relevant mechanisms to strengthen practical cooperation in many areas.
Mr. Mishustin stressed that Russia wants to strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges with China, and is also ready to cooperate with China to promote a multipolar world and strengthen the international order based on international law.
Russian Prime Minister Mishustin arrived in China on May 22 for an official visit. Before meeting Xi Jinping, Mishustin held talks with Premier Li Qiang on strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations. The two sides then signed several documents to promote cooperation.
