Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says there is no chance of Canada becoming part of the United States.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on January 7 rejected US President-elect Donald Trump's intention to use "economic power" to annex Canada into the "Land of the Stars and Stripes".
“There is no way Canada could become part of the United States,” Trudeau said on social media. “Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other’s largest trading and security partners.”
Previously, Mr. Trump noted his willingness to use “economic power” to take over Canada. The US President-elect also did not rule out the possibility of using force to gain control of the Panama Canal and Greenland.
