Teacher Pham Cao Long, a former teacher at Binh Minh Secondary School (Hai Duong City), stopped playing at question number 13, but still answered question number 14 correctly, almost 'breaking' the show 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' recently aired on VTV3 channel of Vietnam Television.
That is teacher Pham Cao Long (61 years old) in Le Thanh Nghi ward, former math teacher at Binh Minh Secondary School (Hai Duong city).
Mr. Long easily passed question number 7. From question number 8, the difficulty gradually increased, he started to ask for help and passed questions number 8 and 9. By question number 10, Mr. Long did not need help and excellently answered correctly to win a check worth 22 million VND. Question number 11 was related to the Tale of Kieu, thanks to the help of his son-in-law, Mr. Long continued to answer correctly and won a check worth 30 million VND. By question number 12, he answered correctly with the final help from his companion and won a check worth 40 million VND.
With no more help, Mr. Long confidently answered question 13 correctly and won a check worth 80 million VND. At question 14, he decided to stop playing, but when given the choice of an answer, he answered correctly. Mr. Long continued playing at the last question 15 but answered incorrectly.
Mr. Long finished the game and won a prize worth 80 million VND. With this result, Mr. Long is the best player of the program "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" in 2024 up to now.
Thus, up to now, Mr. Long is one of the few best players of the program after 20 years of broadcasting. Previously, only 2 players passed question number 14, namely Mr. Le Anh, a construction engineer who participated in the 2008 broadcast. He answered 14 questions correctly, won 80 million VND and chose to stop playing. The player holding the 2nd record is Mr. Tran Dang Dang Khoa, the first player of the first broadcast in 2021. He passed 14 questions of the program excellently. Entering the 15th question, he answered incorrectly and returned with the prize money of 22 million VND (question 10).
