Sudden strong selling pressure after the lunch break caused the VN-Index to fall vertically, at one point losing 69 points, down to below 1,140 points.

Stocks fall the most in more than a month

After hovering around the reference all day, the market suddenly plunged after 14 hours, causing the VN-Index to drop nearly 10 points, the most since mid-September.
Stocks cool down in the last minutes of the session

Fluctuating around 1,280 points throughout the morning until early afternoon, VN-Index suddenly fell close to the reference point at the end of the session, due to great selling pressure.

Continuing the 5th gold auction, reference price increased to 85.3 million VND

At the gold auction on May 8, the State Bank decided to reduce the minimum bidding volume by half compared to previous auctions (7 lots).
