Focus on rescuing victims of apartment fire, no fees yet collected

The Ministry of Health has asked hospitals to focus on treating victims of the mini-apartment fire in Khuong Dinh and not collect any fees yet.

On September 13, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Ngoc Khue - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management was present at Bach Mai Hospital and University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital to direct the rescue and treatment of the victims.

Welcoming the hospitals that are ready to promptly deploy emergency work as soon as mobilized, Mr. Khue requested that the unit continue to be on duty to closely monitor the victims who have been admitted for emergency treatment.

The hospital concentrates all resources, mobilizes good doctors, ensures enough medicine, emergency equipment, treatment and rescue of victims, and provides adequate nutrition to ensure timely and most effective treatment.

"For now, focus on treatment, do not collect any fees, pay attention to health care, stabilize the psychology of the victims so they can feel secure in treatment, welcome and explain to help their families overcome the crisis.", Mr. Khue said.

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has also sent documents to relevant hospitals: E Hospital, 103 Hospital, Post Office Hospital, Dong Da General Hospital, Ha Dong General Hospital, and Xanh Pon General Hospital regarding the reception, emergency care, and treatment of accident victims.

At 11:50 p.m. on September 12, in Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi, a particularly serious fire broke out at house number 37, alley 29/70, Khuong Ha street. The house has an area of ​​over 200 square meters with 150 people living there.

As of 5:00 a.m. on September 13, preliminary statistics showed that authorities had successfully rescued over 70 people and taken 54 people to the emergency room, including one who died.

Currently, authorities do not have specific information about the number of deaths and the cause of the fire.
