Delegate Tran Hoang Ngan proposed considering increasing pensions and preferential allowances for meritorious people in 2025 because there are many major national holidays.
Proposal not to increase pensions and civil servant salaries in 2025
The government has proposed not to increase pensions, civil servants' salaries, and social benefits next year and will handle unreasonable actions in some sectors such as health and education.
Why does the basic salary increase by 30% but the pension only increases by 15%?
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Social Committee Dang Thuan Phong said that in previous adjustments, pension increases were applied. Therefore, this time, if the pension increase is only 11.5%, it will be equal to the 30% increase in basic salary for cadres, civil servants and public employees.
More than 16,200 billion VND to increase pensions and allowances from July 1
In the last 6 months of the year, the state budget is expected to spend 3,760 billion VND, the Social Insurance Fund more than 12,500 billion VND to increase pensions and subsidies for 3.66 million people.
Increase 15% of pension and social insurance benefits from July 1
Based on the proposal to adjust the basic salary from the current 1.8 million VND to 2.34 million VND/month, the Government proposed to increase pension and social insurance benefits by 15% from July 1.
