Users can now trade and display non-fungible Tokens right on their TVs.
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are gradually entering life as the media has been constantly mentioning this trend in recent times. Owning a work of art in NFT format and displaying them in the middle of the house is something many people desire.
Capturing this trend, Samsung has integrated the NFT feature on its newly launched smart TV line. The above technology allows buying, selling and displaying any NFT works currently on the market.
Samsung's New NFT Trading Feature Announced
Samsung’s NFT trading platform allows buyers to preview paintings and “access their storage and who owned them using blockchain technology.” The company says it’s “the world’s first blockchain-enabled TV that connects to NFT exchanges.”
“Owning NFTs is a trend, besides owning a digital painting, the need to display them is gradually becoming necessary. Launching a product line that supports all in one is what we aim for,” a Samsung representative shared at the launch.
The company also built in another feature to help creators. Smart Calibration technology helps viewers filter works by a certain theme or author.
This mechanism allows digital art collectors to customize the display of their digital works according to space or emotion. The company representative said that information about the NFT platform will be announced in detail in the coming weeks when the 2022 TV line is delivered to consumers.
Samsung's launch of a product line with many NFT-supporting features marks a new milestone for this young field. It is possible that many technology giants will follow Samsung's footsteps in the near future. 2022 is a year to look forward to for blockchain and NFT.
