Handling alcohol concentration violations in 2023 in Hai Duong at a record high
In 2023, Hai Duong handled more than 6,500 cases of alcohol concentration violations, a record high.
In 2023, Hai Duong traffic police handled 30,504 cases of traffic order and safety violations, imposed fines of nearly VND 80.3 billion, revoked 7,469 driving licenses, and detained 9,406 vehicles. Compared to 2022, this was an increase of 15,046 cases and an increase of more than VND 40.6 billion in fines.
Among the violations, there were 29,776 cases of violating road traffic order and safety, with fines of more than 78.8 billion VND, the rest were on waterways and railways.
In particular, there were more than 6,500 cases of alcohol concentration violations, with fines of nearly 32 billion VND, nearly 3 times higher than in 2022.
In 2023, the traffic police force in the whole province has stepped up the drastic handling of violations that are the direct causes of traffic accidents and traffic jams. In particular, the handling of violations related to alcohol concentration with the spirit of "no exceptions" and "no forbidden zones" has created positive changes, gradually changing people's habits in implementing "if you drink alcohol, do not drive".
