Approval of the plan to select a contractor to supply medicine to the largest hospital in Hai Duong

While waiting for the bidding results, Hai Duong General Hospital still basically has enough medicine for treatment from the national and local centralized bidding sources.

The decisions approving the selection of contractors to perform the following tasks: supplying Generic drugs with 566 drug items worth more than 114.8 billion VND; purchasing 0.9% Sodium Chloride infusion solution worth more than 775 million VND; supplying traditional medicine and herbal medicine worth more than 613 million VND; supplying original or equivalent branded drugs worth more than 10.2 billion VND... The relevant units are continuing to carry out the next steps in the bidding process, ensuring adequate supply of drugs and infusion solutions for care and treatment.

Previously, Hai Duong General Hospital established a Drug Bidding Council consisting of 30 members, all of whom had been trained and had bidding certificates; developed a contractor selection plan to submit to the Department of Health for appraisal and to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. The implementation of the initial bidding process encountered certain difficulties, but thanks to the support from the Departments of Health and Finance, they were quickly resolved.

Every day, Hai Duong General Hospital receives 900-1,000 inpatients for examination and treatment, and more than 1,000 outpatients. In the past, the hospital has basically ensured the maintenance of medicine sources for professional activities from centralized bidding sources at the national and local levels... There was a time when there was a shortage of anesthetics and infusion fluids, but the hospital proactively sought to overcome the situation according to the instructions of the Department of Health, basically not affecting the emergency and treatment of patients.

In Hai Duong, the Department of Health has completed the bidding for the supply of generic drugs in the list of drugs for centralized bidding at the local level for public health facilities in Hai Duong province in 2023-2024. According to the investigation of Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, most provincial hospitals and district health centers have developed plans to select contractors, submitted them to the Department of Health for appraisal, and submitted them to the Provincial People's Committee for approval. The Department of Health requires public health facilities, once their plans for selecting contractors have been approved, to actively organize bidding for necessary drugs according to regulations.

Currently, public health facilities in Hai Duong basically have enough medicine for treatment.
