The new "Doraemon" movie sets an impressive record at the Vietnamese box office.

"Nobita and the Secret Land in the Sky" has risen to No. 1 at the box office.

Highly appreciated for both its visuals and content, "Nobita and the Mysterious Land in the Sky" is one of the films considered "worth watching" for children and adults.

In Vietnam, the film had special screenings on May 20 and 21 and officially opened on May 26. In just two days of sneakshows, the film earned nearly 10 billion VND, becoming the "Doraemon" film with the highest sneakshow revenue ever. After 3 days of screening, the film earned a total of more than 21 billion VND, bringing the total revenue of "Doraemon" to 31 billion VND with approximately 361,000 viewers.

This figure also helps the 42nd film become the anime film with the highest opening revenue of all time in Vietnam, surpassing even blockbuster anime films that have taken the box office by storm such as "Detective Conan: Halloween Bride" or "One Piece Film Red". With such an excellent start, Big Cat fans hope that the new film will surpass the record of last year's "Nobita and the Little Universe War 2021", which is currently holding the 3rd position in the highest-grossing anime film of all time.

"Nobita and the Mysterious Land in the Sky" is the story of Doraemon, Nobita and his friends' adventures to Paradapia - an island with a crescent moon in the sky. However, after a short trip, Doraemon and Nobita gradually realize the strange things around Paradapia. Incorporating a rather “modern” and bold message compared to previous Doraemon movies, the latest installment is considered to be more accessible to audiences of different ages. However, the elements that make up the Doraemon brand are not ignored. The courage and willingness to fight for justice are still emphasized through the group of friends’ fearless spirit. Friendship “blossoms” in the new movie, between Doraemon and Nobita, between Nobita and his classmates, and especially, between Doraemon and Sonya - the robot cat in Paradapia.
