Previously, on June 27, at Km5, National Highway 4D, in Giang Thang village, Dong Tuyen commune, Lao Cai city, implementing the plan to fight against project A622, the crime-solving force caught 3 subjects in the act of illegally transporting drugs, confiscating 174,000 synthetic drug pills, 1 car, and 3 mobile phones.
Continuing to implement the plan to fight Project A 622.2 (phase 2), at 4:00 a.m. on June 29, in Coc Re village, Ban Me commune, Si Ma Cai district, the working group including Group 1/Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control, Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control under Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command, Si Ma Cai Border Guard Station, Muong Khuong Border Guard Station caught red-handed two subjects, Vang Seo Phang, born in 1987 and Vang Seo La, born in 1996, residing in Su Ma Phin village, Quan Ho Than commune, Si Ma Cai district, illegally transporting drugs, seizing 7 heroin cakes, 1 motorbike, 3 mobile phones.

On June 29, Lao Cai Province Chairman Trinh Xuan Truong commended the Special Investigation Team under the Provincial Border Guard Command for their achievements in successfully breaking up the two drug cases in 3 days.
Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard is continuing to investigate and expand the two projects and complete necessary procedures to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
