At 6:30 a.m., some flooded areas appeared on streets such as: Thai Ha, Quan Nhan, Bui Xuong Trach, Vuong Thua Vu, Nguyen Tuan, Cu Loc, Nguyen Khuyen, Dien Bien Phu-Nguyen Tri Phuong intersection, Lien Tri-Nguyen Gia Thieu, Phung Hung, Phan Boi Chau-Ly Thuong Kiet, Thuy Khue, Cao Ba Quat...

In addition, the area under the train underpass on Thien Duc Street, Nam Duong, lane 80 Hoa Lam, Co Linh, Dam Quang Trung, Vu Xuan Thieu, Ngoc Lam, Thang Long Avenue (intersection of Le Trong Tan), Underpass (No. 3, No. 5, No. 6, Km9+656), Trieu Khuc, Cau Buu, To Huu, Yen Nghia (Yen Nghia bus station to Ba La intersection), Quyet Thang, Vo Chi Cong, Phu Xa, Hoa Bang, Phung Khoang, Quang Trung (in front of Nguyen Hue school gate and opposite La Khe station), Quyet Thang... were also deeply flooded, causing local traffic congestion.

While traveling on Trieu Khuc Street, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen, a resident of Thanh Xuan District, said that heavy rain caused many sections to be flooded up to half a wheel. Traffic was very difficult, many motorbikes had stalled and could not move.

Meanwhile, traveling on Thai Ha Street, Mr. Tran Van Hai, residing in Dong Da District, shared that heavy rain right at the morning commute time, along with flooding in many places, caused localized traffic jams that lasted for a long time, with some sections requiring him to wait 6 traffic lights to pass.

Faced with that situation, Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. has reasonably operated the sluice gates of regulating lakes such as Dong Da, Bay Mau, Dam Chuoi... and the main pumping stations Yen So, Dong Bong 1, Dong Bong 2, Co Nhue... to lower the water level in the system.

From 5:00 a.m. on September 16, the company deployed forces to be on duty, solve drainage problems, and collect garbage at the inlet in the entire management area.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, due to the influence of the convergence zone combined with the strengthening of continental high pressure, from the night of September 15 to the night of September 17, Hanoi will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

The company's vehicles and forces continue to clean, check and clear the flow affected by rain, operate sluice gates and pumping stations to lower the water level across the entire system.
