Accordingly, on April 22, the City People's Committee will organize the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sam Son urban area (April 19, 1963 - April 19, 2023) and open the 2023 Sea Tourism Festival, in which the highlight is the art program and low-altitude fireworks display. With the theme "Sam Son - Sublimation and Shining", the 2023 Sam Son Sea Tourism Festival aims to honor the beauty, cultural values, and long-standing history of Thanh land. Many famous artists will participate in the event, promising to bring visitors moments of sublimation and emotional explosion.
Within the framework of the festival, many exciting activities will take place from April to September 2023 such as: Cheerleading and street parades; Banh Chung - Banh Giay Festival; Fishing and rowing festivals; Golf, Table Tennis, Badminton, and Summer Tennis Tournaments in Sam Son; The 5th Open Cycling Race; Sun - Sam Son Marathon; National Beach Wrestling Championship 2023; Vietjungle Marathon 2023... and many other sports and physical activities, making Sam Son a vibrant and bustling destination throughout the summer of 2023.
Through these events, Thanh Hoa wants to introduce to the people, domestic and international tourists the history of formation and development of Sam Son urban area over the past 60 years as well as the positive changes, strong transformation in the urban appearance, quality of Sam Son tourism services. At the same time, the province affirms its efforts to gradually turn Sam Son city into a national key tourist city, an ideal destination for domestic and international tourists.
In recent years, Sam Son's urban infrastructure and engineering have been invested synchronously and modernly with many large projects that have been, are being and will be completed and put into use; tourism culture has developed in a professional, safe and friendly direction, fundamentally changing the appearance of Sam Son urban tourism. In particular, the city is becoming the focus of attracting investment resources in tourism, with the appearance of many potential corporations such as: SunGroup, FLC, Van Phu, Dong A... Sam Son is making efforts to diversify tourism products, focusing on promoting and promoting tourism, strengthening state management of tourism...
In preparation for the 2023 tourist season, the People's Committee of Sam Son City has issued plans for management, organization and business of tourism services in the area; at the same time, it has strengthened inspection, supervision, urging, detection and resolute handling of violations, especially violations of price gouging, forcing customers, opposing officials on duty...
Secretary of the Sam Son City Party Committee Luong Tat Thang affirmed: "The city is urgently coordinating with relevant units to complete preparations for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sam Son city and the opening of the 2023 Sea Tourism Festival. With many unique and impressive cultural, festival and art events, Sam Son is expected to be the most attractive destination for tourists during the April 30, May 1 holidays and throughout the summer of 2023."
In 2022, Sam Son welcomed 7.05 million visitors (accounting for more than 70% of visitors to Thanh Hoa), with estimated revenue of VND 14,134 billion.
