This afternoon, many relatives and comrades saw off Major Nguyen Dang Khai - who died while pursuing drug criminals - to his final resting place.
At 1:30 p.m. on April 19, at his hometown in Cao Xa village, Tran Cao town, Phu Cu district, Hung Yen province, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security; the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh and Hung Yen provinces... and his family held a memorial service and moved the body of Major Nguyen Dang Khai - a martyr who died while pursuing drug criminals in Bai Chay ward (Ha Long city) on the night of April 17.

Previously, on the evening of April 17, Major Nguyen Dang Khai and his teammates were chasing drug criminals in Bai Chay Ward (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh) but were fiercely resisted. The suspect opened fire, causing Major Khai to be shot and die at the age of 29.
On April 18, President Luong Cuong posthumously awarded the First Class Military Exploit Medal to Major and martyr Nguyen Dang Khai. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also decided to award him the "Fatherland's Gratitude" certificate.
