Thousands of people flock to Yen Tu, jostling to worship at Dong Pagoda on the second day of Tet

At the beginning of the new year of Giap Thin, thousands of tourists flocked to Yen Tu scenic spot (Quang Ninh) to begin their journey to climb the mountain to worship and pray for peace at Dong Pagoda.

On February 11 (the second day of Tet), the weather was less cold and sunny, thousands of people flocked to Yen Tu scenic spot, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh to worship at the beginning of the year.

Instead of hiking, many people wait to take the cable car to the sacred peak of Yen Tu.

From 8am, the parking lot at the scenic spot was packed with vehicles of tourists from all over. The pilgrimage route through Nuong Yen Tu village was crowded with tourists. Many people were delighted to have a service of renting ancient costumes to take souvenir photos.





Near noon, the number of visitors to the Dong Pagoda area increased, making the place packed.

At Dong Pagoda, people offer incense and pray for good luck at the beginning of the year.





According to the Yen Tu National Park and Relic Management Board, tourists began flocking here on the first day of Tet, and it is expected that the number of people will increase many times in the following days as people go on spring outings.
