A court in the Russian capital Moscow announced that Ahamd Kurbanov, the suspect in the Moscow explosion that killed a Russian army lieutenant general, has been charged with committing a terrorist act.
Suspect Kurbanov was born in 1995 and is a citizen of Ukraine. According to the Kommersant newspaper (Russia), this subject does not have an official work permit and has no permanent residence in Russia.
Some sources said that before the attack, Kurbonov worked as a delivery man, while others said he was a chef at a tea house.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, during interrogation, the suspect admitted that he was recruited by a foreign secret service and had come to Moscow to carry out the attack.
A camera attached to a car parked outside the building recorded the attack and streamed it live to the plotters overseas. The suspect was promised $100,000 and the possibility of settling in a European country to carry out the attack.
Earlier, the above committee confirmed that Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, Commander of the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces (RCHBZ) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (VS RF) and his assistant, were killed in an explosion that occurred on the morning of December 17 in Southeast Moscow.
An explosive device planted in a scooter exploded near the entrance to a residential building on Ryazansky Boulevard in Moscow. The committee has opened a criminal case to investigate the attack.
