Present at the construction site of the East-West Axis Road Construction Investment Project through Ninh Giang District, we witnessed the extremely urgent working atmosphere. The entire large construction site was bustling with the sounds of excavators, rollers, etc. 6 construction sites with hundreds of workers and about 50 machines were mobilized, striving to complete the set progress.

Mr. Ngo Hoang Hiep, Deputy Director of the Project Management Board of Package No. 14, East-West Axis Road Construction Investment Project, said that during this year's National Day holiday, the construction site operated normally, with no days off. The officers, engineers, and workers all voluntarily stayed to work. To encourage the spirit of the brothers, in addition to the overtime income according to regulations, some construction teams also organized parties...

“The hot weather makes it harder for the workers at the construction site. The road is both under construction and being expanded, and during the construction process, we have to maintain traffic safety and labor safety. The construction teams are still working as hard as possible, speeding up the progress, striving to complete before the contract deadline,” said Mr. Hiep.

The East-West Axis Road Construction Investment Project has a length of nearly 36.5 km, passing through Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, and Tu Ky districts. The starting point of the project intersects with provincial road 392C at km7+470, adjacent to and connected to the Chanh River overpass construction project (invested by Hung Yen province), in Doan Ket commune (Thanh Mien). The end point of the project intersects with provincial road 391 at km24+600 in Cong Lac commune (Tu Ky). When completed, the East-West axis road will help connect many main roads such as the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway, National Highway 38B, the province's North-South axis road, National Highway 37, National Highway 10 and many provincial roads of Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, etc.

The project is divided into 3 main construction packages, packages 11, 14 and 19. Up to now, the project has implemented construction items according to the required schedule. The section from km13+100 - km28+900 from Thanh Giang commune (Thanh Mien) to Vinh Hoa commune (Ninh Giang) with a length of 15.8 km is expected to be completed on December 31, 2023, and put into use before Lunar New Year 2024.

Speed ​​up progress

Saying goodbye to the road workers, we went to the construction site of the project to invest in building an interchange connecting Provincial Road 392 with the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway in Binh Giang District. The working atmosphere was enthusiastic, 90 officers, engineers, workers with about 60 machines divided into 4 construction teams to implement the project.

Mr. Tran Van Tuyen, Director of the Project Management Board, said that on the occasion of National Day, September 2, the construction unit poured the last concrete for the remaining two girders. Thus, the expressway overpass has basically completed the construction items. The approach road and connecting traffic are also urgently being filled with sand, estimated to have reached 80% of the volume.

The project to build the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway interchange with provincial road 392 in Binh Giang district has a total investment of 321 billion VND sponsored by Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company. The starting point of the interchange is at km9+080 of provincial road 392, the end point connects to the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway at km39+900. This traffic project has strategic significance for the province's dynamic industrial zone.

In the atmosphere of the National Day celebrations on September 2, the officers, engineers and workers at the North-South Road Construction Investment Project in Thanh Mien District are still actively working. At the construction site, all workers are enthusiastic, proactive, urgent and determined to complete the project on schedule; materials and machinery are mobilized in large quantities.

The North-South axis road construction investment project in Thanh Mien district, phase 1, is about 6.06 km long, starting at the intersection with provincial road 392, in Nhan Quyen commune (Binh Giang), ending at the East-West axis road, in Lam Son commune (Thanh Mien). The scale of the road is a level III plain road, with a design speed of 80 km/h. After completion, the project will connect with provincial road 392, Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, forming a main axis connecting the districts of Binh Giang, Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky and strengthening traffic connections between Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces. Currently, the contractor is implementing the construction of the roadbed, sand filling, weak soil treatment... reaching about 4.87 km.

The Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress has set out 3 breakthroughs. These include mobilizing resources to develop synchronous and modern infrastructure; prioritizing investment in the construction of key traffic works, digital infrastructure, smart cities and model new rural areas. With the competitive spirit at traffic construction sites in the province on the occasion of National Day September 2 this year, it is hoped that it will contribute to accelerating the progress of key traffic works in the province, gradually implementing the Party's Resolution.
