Make your own gift for your friend
Since the afternoon of May 30, Nguyen Tran Dieu Chi, 9 years old, a student at An Thuong Primary School (Hai Duong City) has been eagerly making beautiful cards with her mother to give to her friends in the centralized quarantine area on Children's Day. Teacher Tran Thi Ngan, Team Leader of An Thuong Primary School, Chi's mother, shared that as soon as she heard her mother say she was making cards to give to her friends, Chi was very excited and asked her mother to let her do it too. On May 30, the mother and daughter stayed up until after midnight to make cards. By May 31, the mother and daughter had finished making 15 beautiful cards with many meaningful wishes such as "Wishing you good health, happiness, and overcoming the pandemic together", "Not only on International Children's Day, I hope you are happy, healthy, obedient, and full of love every day", "Wishing you a June 1 holiday full of joy, health, and good behavior. Let's work together to overcome the pandemic"... Helping her mother draw, cut, paste flowers and leaves, and write meaningful wishes on cards to send to friends in the concentrated quarantine area, Chi was very happy. "I feel very happy to send my love and encouragement to my friends. I hope those wishes can give them more strength to overcome difficulties and maintain their spirit to overcome the pandemic", Chi said.
The cards made by Ms. Ngan and her daughter are part of a gift-giving program for 62 children who are in centralized quarantine and blockade in Hai Duong City, supported and donated by the Hai Duong Youth Union. At noon on June 1, 62 gifts including cakes, candies, milk, hand sanitizer, etc. with a total value of more than 16 million VND were delivered to 52 students in centralized quarantine and 10 students who are under blockade in Goc Mit hamlet, Tran Phu ward. Despite the extremely hot weather, the gifts followed the volunteers to the centralized quarantine area and Goc Mit hamlet to give to the children there.
