Vietnamese artist's tightrope act wins big at international competition

Thanh Hoa said she was overwhelmed with happiness when she received the results on June 30, surpassing many strong competitors in the world. At the end of the performance, the two artists received a big round of applause from the judges and artists from other countries. As soon as they entered the backstage, some actors asked to take pictures with the duo, praising their performance as well as their costumes.

The Grand Prix (Grand Prize) is worth more than the Gold Prize. Previously in 2011, Quoc Co - Quoc Nghiep won this prize with the performance Strength of Hands at the 2011 International Circus Festival, held in the capital city of La Habana, Cuba.

The two artists have been practicing Love Moments since 2016 and have competed in domestic and international festivals. According to Thanh Hoa, the performance that shows her and Hien Phuoc's mark is always assigned by the organizers of competitions around the world. At this event, Thanh Hoa had to practice many spinning movements. In addition, because it had been a long time since she performed on a high stage, the actors had to get used to it again to have a complete performance.

Thanh Hoa, 34 years old, is from Binh Dinh. Hien Phuoc, 33 years old, was born into a family with three generations of circus performers. They are both circus performers at the Phuong Nam Art Theater in Ho Chi Minh City. The two artists have won several awards, including a silver medal at the 2019 International Circus Festival in Spain and a silver medal at the 2023 International Circus Festival in Russia. In 2019, the duo was honored as Outstanding Young Citizens of Ho Chi Minh City.
