Regarding Tony Leung, who recently appeared in the Marvel blockbuster Shang-Chi and the Legend of Shi Lun, director Alberto Barbera commented that the actor has "had a unique career as a famous Asian and global star".

"I am very happy and grateful to the Venice Film Festival for this surprise," said director Liliana Cavani.
