On September 27, Cam Vu commune (Cam Giang, Hai Duong) opened a new Phu Loc market of nearly 4,400 square meters with 180 business locations.
The new Phu Loc Market is part of the Phu Loc commercial residential area and market project approved by the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee in 2018. The new Phu Loc Market was built spaciously and completed in July 2021, with an area of nearly 4,400 m2, including 180 covered business locations, with a total construction cost of 14 billion VND from the State budget.
The new Phu Loc market meets the standards of a type III market, ensuring requirements on food safety, environmental sanitation, fire prevention, trade civilization, promoting the circulation of goods, and serving people's needs well. This new market, when put into operation, will contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of Cam Vu commune and the region.
In recent times, authorities at all levels have paid attention to leadership, direction and have had many preferential policies; organized many propaganda campaigns, mobilizing small traders in the old Phu Loc market to hand over their premises and register to move to the new Phu Loc market.
By September 27, 115 small traders agreed with this policy and registered to move to the new Phu Loc market to do business.
However, some traders still do not agree, giving many reasons for not registering to move to the new Phu Loc market.
The People's Committee of Cam Giang district and Cam Vu commune have widely announced that the old Phu Loc market will officially close from October 8, 2024.
The reason is that the old market was too narrow, formed and operated spontaneously since the 80s of the last century, and is now seriously degraded, not ensuring regulations on hygiene and safety, environmental protection, fire prevention, etc.
The old Phu Loc market area has been planned to invest in building a parking lot, expanding roads, and improving traffic safety at the intersection between provincial roads 394 and 394C.
