iPhone 15 series may be in short supply, hand-carried Pro Max costs from 42 million VND

According to Vietnamnet September 16, 2023 20:28

Apple authorized retailers said that the iPhone 15 series is likely to be in short supply. Meanwhile, a representative of a hand-carried goods business shared that the iPhone 15 Pro Max version 256 has been paid 42 million VND.

Right after Apple announced the new iPhone 15 series models, in Vietnam, Apple's authorized dealers also announced the prices for each version. While many stores have prices similar to Apple Vietnam's website, the TopZone and Di Dong Viet chains have competed on price with prices 1-1.5 million VND cheaper.

iPhone 15 series is likely to be in short supply in the near future

Currently, all chain stores in Vietnam have allowed customers to register to receive information about the iPhone 15 series and allow customers to place orders from September 22, with delivery on September 29.

However, according to information from representatives of authorized dealer chains in Vietnam, Apple has only released information on ordering on September 22, and has not updated anything else about the iPhone 15 series in the domestic market. In addition, there has been information warning that there is a high possibility that the product will not be available as soon as expected from the company. Specifically, today in the US, the AppStore has also opened for registration to buy iPhone 15 series products. Those who order will have to wait 6-7 weeks to receive their devices, with delivery time from November 6-13.

Therefore, representatives of the chain stores believe that it is likely that customers who order products on the Apple website in Vietnam will also experience delayed delivery like in the US. Regarding the possibility of the iPhone 15 series being delivered directly to users in Vietnam on September 29, according to representatives of the chain stores, nothing is certain at the moment.

Customers ordering iPhone 15 series in the US will have to wait 6-7 weeks to receive their goods.

Notably, in this year's hand-carried market, despite difficulties due to Apple announcing its opening sale in Vietnam just 1 week after the international sale, business representatives said they will still be able to sell during the first week of international sales starting September 22.

Specifically, a representative of a store selling hand-carried iPhones said that the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256 GB capacity has been ordered and agreed to a price of 42-43 million VND. Hand-carried iPhone 15 series versions will likely be imported from 2 main markets: Singapore and Thailand.

In fact, the situation of iPhone 15 series, especially the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max versions, being in short supply is not new. Last year, when the iPhone 14 series was launched, the same situation happened, due to the supply chain crisis caused by the Covid-19 epidemic in factories in China.

This year's iPhone 15 series includes the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 15 and 15 Pro use 6.1-inch screens, while the iPhone 15 Plus and 15 Pro Max use 6.7-inch screens.

The Pro version has a super durable titanium frame, A17 Pro chip with 6-core GPU, 48MP camera system with optical zoom up to 5x, Action button replacing the Ringer/Volume switch button. Meanwhile, the regular iPhone 15 uses aluminum material with a tinted glass back, Dynamic Island, A16 Bionic chip with 5-core GPU, dual camera system. Notably, in the Pro Max version, the memory capacity will start at 256 GB instead of 128 GB like other versions.
